NAYO JONES TO RELEASE HER NEW LIVE RECORDED CD THE SUMMER OF 2015

Nayo Jones to release her new CD This Summer; Entitle “Nayo Jones Live from the Kerr Center”. This is a must have live recording, that showcases this awesome young vocalist who beautifully delivered loved songs paying tribute to New Orleans,and “Real Jazz.” Nayo’s impeccable versions of standards, e.g., St James Infirmary, If I Only Had A Brain, Take The A-Train by (Billy Strayhorn) alongside, her signature rendition of At Last, and the classic, Summer Time mesmerized the audience. Vocals that projected from a whisper to a near ear shattering pitch included Ms Jones’ flawless diction, dead-center pitch and fluid phrasing are captivating. Backed by a wealth of music talent and history, the swinging quartet consisted of top-shelf musicians, Dowell Davis, Drums; Felix Sanchez on Bass; Loannis Goudelis, Piano; Kerry Campbell, blowing his Alto Sax and featuring Doc Jones, on Piano during At Last, and Summer Time. This rhythm section sounds twice its size, and counter stated by a cohort of virtuoso soloists, she finds fresh, unfailingly swinging approaches to this well-traveled repertoire, melding into a personal argot elements garnered from such distinguished mentors as Natalie Cole, Whitney Houston, Nancy Wilson—while sounding like no one other than Nayo Jones.
