INT’L JAZZ DAY AZ FOUNDATION & DOC JONES TAKES “NEW ORLEANS JAZZ” TO EL PINACATE CRATERS IN SONORA MEXICO

International Jazz day AZ Foundation for the first time ever produced a VIP Jazz concert at this Historic location El Pinacate biosphere reserve in Sonora Mexico. Doc and Nayo Jones featuring New Orleans Trumpeter Mario Abney headline a great kick off to the 5th Annual International Jazz Day festival 2016 (1st in Puerto Peñasco Mexico).

The Pinacate Biosphere Reserve in Mexico is a massive area of lightly disturbed lava fields, 30 miles south of Lukeville, Ariz. It also has a Spanish name equal in mystery to Craters of the Moon: El Pinacate y Gran Desierto de Altar Biosphere Reserve. Mario had a moment where he had to take his trumpet and sit and play to the Gods in the Lava, this was an historic moment.
