NAYO JONES, GUEST SINGER WITH ADONIS ROSE, AND THE NEW ORLEANS JAZZ ORCHESTRA

Doc Jones

Vocalist Nayo Jones more than deserves the accolades she often receives from attendees of various events she performs at. She’s won more than a few fans in her singing career spanning just over a decade. Many hours of contemplative thought were given to her move away from familiarity to New Orleans more than six years ago. Her career has grown leaps and bounds; more than many new artists has every done.

Nayo Jones recently embarked on a very special project together with multitalented Adonis Rose and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. She has recorded and toured with New Orleans’s own Kermit Rufffins and now resides in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana’s tsunami of great musicians. Her new album Nayo Jones Live at the Kerr Center includes classics such as, St. James Infirmary, If I Only Had A Brain, Summertime and many more.

By joining forces with bandleader Adonis Rose, the American singer is collaborating with someone who is perfectly equipped to revamp the musical tradition of New Orleans at the Jazz Market. He had already done so with his band by bringing names like Ledisi, Robert Glasper and the legendary iconic percussionist Sheila E. Nayo Jones career is fast on the move thanks to Mr. Rose affording her the opportunity to open for some of the greatest artist in the business.
