By docjones on December 10, 2018

Dr. William Doc Jones is an American pianist, keyboardist, Saxophone player, bandleader, composer, and Educator.[1] Doc Jones started his career with Composer Trumpet Player Phil Choran. He shortly thereafter formed his own Jazz Ensemble The Big band Sounds of Niambi, where he helped to redefine the role of a jazz rhythm section and was one of the primary architects of big band sounds in Chicago. In the 1970s, Doc Jones experimented with jazz fusion, funk, and electro styles.
